AI Quoting Targets Procurement Turnaround Times
In an exciting expansion of its software offerings, CloudNC is set to introduce Quote Agent, an AI-driven estimating tool expected to launch in 2026.
Creating job estimates can be a cumbersome process for manufacturing suppliers, often involving manual evaluations of incoming technical drawings, calculating cycle times, and determining part pricing. This manual approach frequently leads to administrative delays and miscalculated margins when the production phase begins.
Quote Agent will leverage AI for early-stage costing, enabling suppliers to quickly return customer bids while standardizing cost estimates.
“Quote Agent is a natural next step for CloudNC as we seek to accelerate global machining with AI,” Saville states. “While CAM Assist helps machinists get parts onto machines more quickly, Quote Agent will facilitate new work assessments, streamline quote preparation, and enhance customer response confidence.”
Saville believes that their AI capabilities will make the quoting process not only faster but also more consistent and scalable, allowing manufacturers to secure the right projects while maintaining skilled oversight.
Knox Systems Partnership Advances FedRAMP Authorization
In a strategic move, CloudNC has partnered with Knox Systems to achieve FedRAMP certification for CAM Assist. This compliance initiative aims to clear the software for use within U.S. government departments, defense contractors, and aerospace manufacturers operating under federal data governance guidelines.
